Who we are

This policy covers grepped.ai and the services of Grepped AI, Inc., a Delaware corporation at 564 Castro Street, San Francisco, CA (“Grepped”, “we”, “us”).

What we collect

Details you give us through our forms, email, text messages, calls and messaging apps: your name, company, role, email address, phone number and what you tell us about your data or your referrals.

Basic usage data from our website, such as pages visited, collected through analytics cookies.

How we use it

To reply to you, assess and package data you want to license, run the referral and partner programmes, arrange calls, send agreements and payments, and improve the site.

We do not sell your personal information.

Text messaging (SMS)

We text people who have contacted us first and given us their mobile number. Messages are about your enquiry, referral or deal: answers to questions, links to our forms and portal, and scheduling. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.

No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging originator opt-in data and consent will not be shared with any third parties. We share phone numbers only with the service providers that deliver our messages.

Apps you connect

If you sell data through us, you can connect the business apps it lives in (for example Google Workspace, Slack, HubSpot, QuickBooks or Jira) instead of exporting it yourself. You approve access on the app’s own screen, and it is read-only: we can’t send, change or delete anything in your accounts.

As soon as you connect an app, we pull a small sample from it, about the last 30 days or a few dozen records of each kind. You can change what we pull (channels, labels, projects, kinds of record). The sample is kept in our encrypted storage, and a copy goes to our private Dropbox so our team can review it. Our Clean Room removes personal details before anything reaches a buyer. We pull everything only after you ask us to and your data supply agreement is signed.

Data pulled from your apps is used for the same purpose as data you upload: to assess it and, under your agreement, to license copies to AI developers, including for training AI models. It is never used for advertising and never shared in raw form.

Access keys are stored encrypted. You can disconnect at any time from your listing page, which stops any pull and deletes our keys. We also disconnect by ourselves once a full export is done, or after 30 days without use. To have data we pulled deleted, email e@grepped.ai.

Our Grepped Export Guide extension for Chrome reads button labels on the export pages of the apps it covers, only to point at the next button to click, and saves which step you’re on in your own browser. It never reads, copies or sends your files, emails or messages.

Its help chat sends something to us only when you type a message in it: your message, the app and step you’re on, the website’s address (not the page), and, if you leave that box ticked, the names of the buttons on your screen, so we can tell you which one to click. A language model answers through our hosting provider. When a guide step looks out of date, we keep the app, step, website and your message so we can fix the guide. We don’t sell any of it or use it for anything else.

Who we share it with

Service providers that run our email, phone, hosting, database and analytics, under contracts that limit their use of it.

Data you license through us goes to buyers only as set out in your agreement, handled as that agreement and the law require. See our security page.

Retention and your rights

We keep personal information for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as the law requires.

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your information, or to stop contacting you, by emailing e@grepped.ai. Depending on where you live (for example California, the UK or the EU), you may have further rights, and we will honour them.
